The top 10 coffee brands may change from year to year, but the brand occupying the top spot never seems to change. I’m talking about coffee in the United States, if I’m not being obvious. The top coffee brand in the United States has almost always been Folgers.
A friend of mine, who no longer writes online, researched the top brands and the best tasting brands in 2010 and passed that information to me. She was using lists generated from various sources, including Consumer Reports. Most of the data was from the end of 2008.
I’m presenting the data from 2008, but I’m asking you to skip past it (use it as a reference, if you wish). There are much more reliable sources today, and I’m going to point you in the right direction.
The data was broken down into separate categories.

The Best Coffee Beans website published their list of the Best Coffee Brands In The World Ranking - Top Picks Of 2020. It lists brands I’ve never heard of, which is natural since it isn’t limited to the United States.

When I’m in the Philippines, I prefer Nescafé Classic instant coffee (made by Nescafé Philippines). Instant coffee is more popular in the Philippines than ground coffee. In the United States, the opposite is true.
If I’m going to fire up Mr. Coffee to brew coffee for everyone, I prefer Folgers. Otherwise, I prefer Nescafé Clásico instant coffee. According to the label, it’s imported from Puerto Rico (a United States territory).
My favorites aren’t likely to be your favorites, and that’s okay. With all the choices out there, I’d be surprised if anyone’s favorites are the same as mine. Some people don’t even like drinking coffee at home, preferring to get it already made at places like Starbucks.
