Bloggers Traffic Community is a website where bloggers can get more web traffic to their blogs. If there’s one thing that blogs and other websites always need, it’s web traffic.
The web traffic from Bloggers Traffic Community is social traffic, which obviously isn’t the same as search traffic. Of course, it requires a bit of promotion to get anywhere, which is something I’ve always had difficult doing.
Getting web traffic is related to web development. Web development doesn’t stop with building and adding to a website. It also requires marketing and promotion. If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? If you write something on your website and no one sees it, does it actually exist? You can’t wait for someone to find it using a search engine. You have to promote it some way, somewhere.
I’m not saying you have to promote your website with Bloggers Traffic Community. In fact, I stopped doing it after a week or so. It’s very time-consuming. You can post links on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, without having to be social about it.
I’m not convinced it will do anything more than eat up your time. It’s social traffic, and it makes your page views increase, but will it do anything else? Web traffic isn’t the only thing you need. You need people to link to your blog as well. You can only hope that the social traffic will entice people to start linking to you. What value can you place on social traffic?
For reasons I won’t discuss, I prefer building links slowly because those links won’t disappear as quickly as those that are easily obtained. I post links to Facebook, Twitter and the “blogs” subreddit at Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/blogs/. Those are the places I seem to get the most traction from. I also post links at Pinterest and Pixabay (comments) at times.
It has taken me months to double my inbound links, and it will probably take me months to do it again. I don’t think social traffic will help it grow any faster. My web traffic hasn’t increased much and that’s because I’m not as social as I could be.
